I enjoyed this story of a child born a hermaphrodite in a remote area of Canada in 1968 and raised as a boy. If this book were a movie would you go see it? I would most definitely listen to other books narrated by her. She was very easy to listen to and did a good job of differentiate the characters without "trying too hard". I thought Tandy Cronyn performance was wonderful. What about Tandy Cronyn’s performance did you like? But, I did enjoy this one enough that I will certainly explore her other works.
I have not listened to other books by Kathleen Winter. If you’ve listened to books by Kathleen Winter before, how does this one compare? However, I would not hesitate to recommend it to certain friends who I know would enjoy this particular story. There are some books that I would recommend to absolutely everyone. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
